- How do I use my phone keypad to Dictate?
The keypad layout has been designed to be simple to use – first time and every time.
When you call the morningpapers number, a voice will guide you through the initial steps, right up to
“Please press ‘2’ to start dictating, and ‘0’ to finish”
That’s all you really need – the middle buttons at top and bottom – as simple as that!
If you need a moment to compose your thoughts, ‘8’ is pause and restart.
To listen to and edit your dictation use the middle row:–
‘4’ for rewind, ‘5’ for play and ‘6’ for fast forward.
Top Tips:
– Don’t forget to press the ‘0’ key to finish and send your dictation for transcription.
– If you do a lot of rewinding and editing, it can get fiddly moving the phone to and from your ear every few seconds.
At your desk, use a phone with a separate keypad; on your mobile, plug in a headset or an earpiece, so your phone
is in your hand where you can look down at the controls.
